Kim Møller Porst, Special Advisor at Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate

Biography

Kim is the Deputy Head of the International Department in the Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate of Denmark.

The department is responsible for the Danish Government’s international engagement in UNFCCC and for advancing clean energy globally via bilateral government-to-government cooperation with several prioritized high-growth emerging economies such as China, Mexico and Indonesia and strategic multilateral engagement within especially Clean Energy Ministerial, IEA and IRENA.

Before taking up his current position, Kim has served in ministry for three years with responsibility of leading and coordinating the Danish Ministry’s and Danish Energy Agency’s international multilateral energy cooperation.

Before joining the Ministry, Kim has served as an Personal Advisor to the current Danish Prime Minister in his capacity as Chairman of the Council of Global Green Growth Institute, as Head of the Brussels Office of the Danish Energy Association in Brussels and in trainee positions in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Kim is a Fulbright Scholarship Recipient, holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen and a Graduate Diploma in management from the Copenhagen Business School.
