Head – Carbon, Sustainability and Power Markets

Dipjay leads carbon, sustainability and RE power markets functions at CLP India. With entrepreneurial mind and environmentalist heart, Dipjay works on economic value creation opportunities with low or no environmental impact.
As part of this role, Dipjay is responsible for marketing of RE corporate PPAs in India under open access (third party / group captive), behind the meter and rooftop arrangements. He is also leading carbon trading desk at CLP India and he is credited with scaling it from zero to making it the world’s largest RE VER / VCU issuer.
In his role as head of sustainability, his team monitors and reports CLP India’s sustainability performance in sustainability report and ESG surveys. He is also the key point of contact for CLP India’s engagements with RE and sustainability focused think tanks / coalitions such as The Energy Resources Institute (TERI), World Resources Institute (WRI), World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) etc.
Dipjay an Electrical Engineer and MBA, and has more than 12 years of experience in the areas of renewable energy, carbon and sustainability. He has also worked with / advised Ernst & Young, Tata Chemicals and, Hindustan Unilever.
