Elizabeth Reid

Biography

Elizabeth Reid is a partner in Bird & Bird’s Energy and Utilities Group and has been heavily involved in the renewables sector for the past ten years.

Elizabeth advises developers, investors and EPC contractors on all the project contracts required for the design, build, finance, consenting, operation and offtake of renewable power projects.  Elizabeth regularly advises on innovative structures that set the agenda for the growth of renewable energy across the globe. 

Most recently this has included early stage storage projects as well as corporate power purchase agreements.

Whilst the UK solar market has kept Elizabeth very busy (last year she advised on over 30% of all solar projects in the UK, based on MW capacity), Elizabeth also has experience in advising her clients on renewable energy projects across a range of international jurisdictions, including in Chile, Kuwait, South Africa, South East Asia and Australia.

Elizabeth is a member of the Solar Trade Association and is currently involved in a EC funded Horizon2020 project on how to implement innovative solar projects.
