Biography

Daniel is an energy projects lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright with a particular focus on climate change, sustainability and clean energy projects. He is based in London but has previously lived and worked in Dubai and Johannesburg and has considerable “on the ground” experience in relation to the development and financing of power projects in the European, Middle East and African markets.

Daniel’s expertise spans the development of renewable energy projects including transaction structuring, power purchase agreements, concession contracts, construction, operation and maintenance and regulatory advice.

He has advised developers and buyers in relation to corporate PPAs in a number of different commercial and regulatory structures. He co-authored the WBCSD report “Innovation in Power Purchase Agreements” published earlier this year and more recently, he has been working as a project manager for the Terrawatt Initiative (https://terrawatt.org/) with respect to the development of a complete standardised suite of contract templates for use in the solar PV market to be made available to the industry very soon on an open-source basis.
