Sophie Dingenen

Biography

Sophie heads the Corporate Energy Team in The Hague and is Co-head of the International Renewables Group.

Her practice focuses on the structuring and, more specifically, the development and construction of international energy projects. Sophie has vast experience in drafting and negotiating key project agreements (EPC, O&M, PPA) – for both conventional and renewable energy projects – which are often the basis for securing project financing.

With a corporate background, Sophie also advises national and international (energy) companies on privatisations, cross border mergers and acquisitions, and restructurings. She has been involved in all major transactions in the energy sector since 1999. 

Before joining us, Sophie worked both in house, where she led the legal aspects of the development of multi-billion projects, and for other international law firms. 

She has extensive experience in providing strategic & boardroom advice. Sophie is dual qualified both in the Netherlands and the UK. She was admitted as lawyer in 2002 and solicitor in 2007.
